Nursery Room Decor: A Gender Neutral Nursery for Twins
Hi and Happy Monday! We were able to see our niece and nephew a few times outside over the holidays. They always make us smile! I can’t believe that it has been almost 2 years since we all put together this gender neutral nursery for them. I’ll try to remember what we did, but you may want to google the board and batten process from someone who actually keeps track of their DIY’s step-by-step.

A Simple Christmas Brunch: Keeping it Simple
Well… this didn’t end up being quite the post I thought it was going to be. It turns out that trying to take photos with everyone at home is a bit more tricky than anticipated. There were a lot of outtakes of kids hanging off of the doorways, purposely jumping in the photos as the timer got closer to zero, and a certain 7-year old attempting to train our 2-year old boxer in the background. We’ll be laying low (and apparently going stir crazy) this Holiday Season. While we likely won’t have an elaborate Christmas dinner, we do plan to have a nice Christmas Brunch in the Dining Room. A Simple Christmas Kitchen: Brass & Berry
I finally got around to decorating our Simple Christmas Kitchen. Despite trying to keep the kitchen minimally decorated, I somehow managed to incorporated almost all of the Christmas colors that were contenders this year. The best part is that the decorations I thought would be difficult to hang up didn’t give me any problems. It was a Christmas miracle!

A Cozy Christmas: Red & Green Christmas Tree and Mantle
I hope you all had a nice week! We went to a tree farm about a half hour north of town a week ago and cut down the most perfect tree! I didn’t know it at the time, but it ended up working really, really well with a lot of the Cozy Christmas decorations that we already had.

Kids’ Clothes, A Holiday Mantel & More
Today I’m sharing a sneak peek of our Christmas Mantel, a book that I’m listening to for the second time, a few ideas for kids’ clothes for the winter, a new-to-me brand, a Christmas Cabin wish list, and a favorite hotel. Oh, and I changed the name from Mackinaw Road Mondays to Mackinaw Road Musings, since I rarely seem to be able to actually get the posts out on Mondays.

Where to Stay in Traverse City: An Michigan Airbnb Farm
We finally got away! And to such a charming Michigan Airbnb. The style was amazing. It was the perfect pandemic “getaway.” We had the farm to ourselves, complete with a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and access to a 17-mile hiking/jogging/biking trail. We were able to order out a few (okay, almost all) the times during our stay from restaurants in Traverse City. Read on for all of the details.

Whew! The last of the Gift Guide 2020 series- The Gift Guide for Her. I’m excited to share this list with you. Of course, I likely am biased, but I think that there are some really great gift ideas in this round up. I created this list with my mom, mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law in mind. And maybe myself a bit too 😉
