Living Room Mirror Options

Well, it’s been snowing non-stop here in Michigan, which makes it feel like it is the perfect time to change up our mantel decor and decide on a living room mirror. Keep reading for the two Apps that helped with the decision making process and the four mirrors we considered.

Here is what the living room currently looks like… It always feels a little sparse after all of the holiday decorations get put away but also feels very appropriate for our negative degree temperatures outside.

With the addition of the gallery wall, I was feeling like we had a lot of black straight-lined frames in this room. I’ve had it in my head for a while that I would like to add a mirror back into the space. We previously had a black rectangular mirror over the fireplace, and for whatever reason, the family occasionally asks about it. The problem (ish) was that it was leaning against the wall and reflecting only our bare ceiling, which does not have a lighting fixture. We will either need to hang the new mirror or (hopefully) it will be able to sit more upright to reflect our new grid gallery.

Speaking of the grid gallery wall, I promise to have photos next week. I think I mentioned that R surprised me and finished up the wall one night when I was at soccer with the kids. The hooks always give us a difficult time when it comes to installation, and I was soooo grateful that he finished it up for me! We just need to switch two of the photos, but neither of us wants to wrestle with those hooks again- haha!

Back to the mirrors… When deciding on a shape, I didn’t think round would work because we already have the large round clock (shown below). I didn’t want more square/rectangle shapes because we have our TV and also the grid gallery. So, I landed on an arched mirror. Something simple was the direction I was heading.

Here are the options that I considered. I ended up using my Measure App on the phone and then screenshotting the measurements. It is likely not an exact science, but I was able to get a general idea. I sent them to Gretchen, and she went a step further and used Pic Collage to insert the mirror into the photo within my dimensions. Guys… Teamwork Really Does Make the Dream Work- haha!

How I Decided on a Living Room Mirror using 2 Apps

For our living room, I decided on a black frame, but many of the options below have several different finishes to choose from.

Anyway, NOW here are the living room mirror options: (You can click on the photo to shop.)

If I am remembering correctly, any of the dimensions could have worked, even though they are a bit different. The pricing ranged from about $60-$480.

I landed on one and ordered it. Hopefully, it will come this week! Once I get it up and styled, I’ll show you! Fingers crossed, it works.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!
