One Piece Swimsuits, a Bathroom Vanity, & Kids’ Games
Talk about nothing going together! This post is all over the place with a round up of top options for one piece swimsuits (under $100), our bathroom vanity plans update (eek-it’s happening!), and two kids games we’ve been loving lately (that the kids can either play alone or together- everyone literally wins!). **This post contains affiliate links, meaning that if you click and purchase, I may receive some compensation. Thank you! Swimsuits Under $100 Let’s start with the swimsuit round up. I’ve rounded up several options for one-piece swimsuits this season. They are all under $100. The majority of them are from the same store for ease of shipping and…

Argyle Sweaters, Family Winter Activities, and More
Hi there and Happy Thursday! Get ready for some randomness, including some family winter activities we have been (mostly) enjoying, a round up of argyle sweaters (just in time for the incoming polar vortex), a favorite winter recipe (and some meal planning), and wall frames (with the perfect oversized mat). Family Winter Activities It has been sooo wintery here in Michigan lately, but we’ve really been trying to get outside as much as possible. We went cross country skiing this past weekend, and it was so pretty and a great way to get outside as a family. (We did have a few “take aways” for next time. Naturally.) Our daughter…

Last Minute Gifts, Holiday Outfits, & Holiday Rooms
Today I’m sharing some last-minute gift ideas, our kids’ holiday rooms, and some casual outfits/pajamas for the holiday season this year. But, not in that order…

Kids’ Clothes, A Holiday Mantel & More
Today I’m sharing a sneak peek of our Christmas Mantel, a book that I’m listening to for the second time, a few ideas for kids’ clothes for the winter, a new-to-me brand, a Christmas Cabin wish list, and a favorite hotel. Oh, and I changed the name from Mackinaw Road Mondays to Mackinaw Road Musings, since I rarely seem to be able to actually get the posts out on Mondays.

Gift Guide for Her
Whew! The last of the Gift Guide 2020 series- The Gift Guide for Her. I’m excited to share this list with you. Of course, I likely am biased, but I think that there are some really great gift ideas in this round up. I created this list with my mom, mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law in mind. And maybe myself a bit too 😉

Gift Guide for Him
Hi there! I took a quick break from the gift ideas but am back with a Gift Guide for Him. It was much easier to put together than I had anticipated. Yay! This guide has a range of ideas. Of course, I made it with the men in our family in mind so there is a little basketball, a little hockey, travel-related gifts, some clothes, some cooking, and, of course, some music themes involved.

Gift Guide for Toddlers
This Gift Guide for Toddlers was so much fun to put together! Toddler toys are adorable. Our family is obsessed with my niece and nephew who will be 16 months at Christmas time. This list was put together with them in mind. It is amazing to me how quickly I have forgotten what 16 month olds are interested in. Fortunately, some of it came back to me. Even more fortunate is that my sister shared some of E&C’s favorite things. Oh, and a few other things were thrown on the list because they were either pretty or looked like fun things to try! Definitely read the descriptions and age ranges…

Gift Guide for School-Aged Kids
Good morning and Welcome to the Gift Guide for School-Aged Kids! I asked for some input from my 7 & 10 year olds, but then I ended up going rogue and making the final list while they were at school. Nonetheless, this Gift Guide was made with their ages in mind.

Cozy Winter Clothes- Mackinaw Road Monday
Good morning and Welcome to Mackinaw Road Monday where most of the time things are pretty random but today are actually somewhat organized. I’m talking about Cozy Winter Clothes. I’ve put together a little board of all of the options I’m considering for this winter. Since I usually have 2-3 colors (I use that term very loosely as the colors are usually black, cream/white, and camel) I wear in each season, it makes it easier to mix and match tops and pants for the maximum number of cozy outfits available to me.

Mackinaw Road Monday: 5 Card Games for Kids
Hi again! It’s been awhile since we’ve had a Mackinaw Road Monday, so I thought another one was due… even though it isn’t Monday… again. One of the silver linings of being quarantined has been the opportunity for more family game nights. We also use the games as breaks during the day or as incentives for finishing online school tasks. Five games have quickly become our family favorites. (Okay, one may not be as loved by the parents as the kids. More on that in a bit.) Keep reading for our top card games for kids.
