Gift Guide: 9 Year Old Boy Gifts
Here it is! The most difficult list this year…. for the 9 year old boy!! You may notice a theme running throughout this list. Most of the items are related to soccer, which is absolutely fine and good with me! 9 Year Old Boy Gifts: Soccer Fan Ideas
Soccer cards are a huge hit at our house and I am here for it. Not only is it an activity that keeps our son busy but he also plans, organizes, re-organizes, shares his favorites with us, etc. We like the card guard for these purposes. He does have some individual sleeves but those aren’t great and tend to get lost more easily.
Shorts have been the clothing of choice this fall for the 9 year old. I have a feeling it’s going to be a difficult transition period when he finds out he won’t be wearing shorts to school again until May. These joggers may help soften the blow.
Our son lost a pair of goalie gloves to the dog and is hoping for a nice replacement pair, which I am sure he will keep out of reach of our playful pup.
Hats are another thing that are a hard thing to understand for our son- lol. He does not like most winter hats. I am hoping that one with the Real Madrid symbol might be more enticing.
Speaking of Real Madrid, this soccer ball is on his list.
This Kick Touch Soccer Trainer seems like a good way to practice his technical skills while also ensuring that the ball doesn’t roll down the driveway and into the road (or scuff up our baseboards anymore than they already are).
Our son’s big wish is to go to Europe to watch a soccer (fine, football) game. This poster is a good start and is also an interesting guide to explore where all of the football clubs are located. Geography and sports collide.
9 Year Old Boy Gifts: Non-Soccer Ideas
New switch controllers are on the 9 year old’s Christmas list. I’m not sure what exactly went wrong with the ones he had, but here we are.
I found this when looking for gifts. While the switch will likely always be at the top, this Create Your Own Video Game looks like a lot of fun too. From what I understand, kids can learn to code and create their own games or choose to play retro games on the console.
An electric scooter is high on our son’s list this year! He loved his micro scooter when he was younger and this seems like a lot of fun for an upper elementary kid.
Finally, this red racer looks like so much fun! You can buy it as a set of two or individually. We purchased a Fun Boy snow tube from The Counting House last year (definitely check out the fun options this year too!). Everyone in our family wanted to use it. It really is pure luxury in the world of sledding!
