Spring Outfits for Elementary Age Kids

With spring just around the corner (pretty please!), I have big plans to clean out our closets this weekend. Exciting plans, I know. As we are starting to come out of this crazy year, spring outfits for the family seem to be in order. R and my clothes should be fine so one or two items is likely all we need. The kids, however, have shot up over the past year and I’m not sure anything is going to still fit them. Not to mention, they are incredible hard on their clothing. So there’s that.

Our kids now also have opinions about their clothing. They always have been slightly particular but now it’s like they have a checklist in their heads about what is acceptable. Oh, and it is ever-changing too. It’s fun.

Travel Clothes for Kids

Just look at how little they were in these photos! I’m pretty sure that the process went something like I bought the clothes and they put them on. Easy Peasy.

In this post, I tried to make shopping as streamlined as possible. Both of the lists for boys and girls come from only two stores, which will hopefully help qualify for some free shipping. These stores also both tend to have some sort of sale going on often. Bonus.

We haven’t purchased the exact clothing from the lists, but our kids do have several pieces from these stores, so I know that they are generally acceptable to them. Correction: Our son does have the cargo shorts. They are perfect for holding all of the treasures he finds!

Packing for a spring trip south is one of my favorite things. (Here is a packing list I made a few years ago.) It is such a wonderful precursor to summer and makes me feel hopeful that it will be here soon! Even if a southern trip isn’t in the cards this year, an added benefit of buying a few outfits now is that it won’t feel as overwhelming when summer hits in June.

One More Thing

Because it is very difficult to stay on topic… And because I equate lemon with springtime… I just wanted to quickly share all things lemon that I’ve been loving lately. These protein bars are a go-to as is this tea. (Even if you don’t drink tea, the scent alone is worth brewing it. My kids even enjoy having a cup with me once in awhile. Kids drinking tea is just too cute!) My friend gave me this limoncello candle, and I love the happy lemon smell that radiates through the house from it! Happy almost- March, everyone!!!
