Friday Finds on Mackinaw Road: A Netflix Find, Gift Ideas for Him, and A Plaid Puffer Vest

Now that the cool winter weather is here, I am loving cozying up with a warm blanket, turning on the fire, and watching the Netflix show Stay Here. The show’s hosts help short-term rental property owners (i.e., mostly Airbnb hosts) to spruce up their properties via design and legit hosting. They also tend to showcase something from the city in which the property is located. It has all 3 boxes checked for me: information/tips about hosting, fabulous design ideas, and learning something new about a US city.
Speaking of US cities, do you know someone who travels for sporting events? Have you seen these stylish blueprints of all kinds of stadiums including baseball, football, soccer, etc. options? A final gift that we ordered for Him (and Her ;-)) are these lovely letterpress prints from Minted. The example Minted provides is of a home, but I’m wondering if you could also do outside shots of hotels or favorite restaurants from travel photos– could be worth a try. We will receive ours in the next couple of weeks, but I can tell you that the process has been a great experience. We had one photo that proof-ed really well and we readily approved it. One photo did not transfer as well, but after a couple of tries and a very patient designer, we were able to get to where we wanted it to be. One final thing… for the sweet puppies in your life… We sometimes walk to drop off and pick up, and I was feeling unsure if our CJ was warm enough now that winter has settled in Michigan. So, on Cyber Monday, I ordered a couple of these jackets, one for CJ and one for his cousin, Leo (yes, there will be some #twinning photos to come ;-).
