Gifts for Teen Boys
In three short months, we will have two teenagers. It’s hard to believe, but time really does fly. Our teen boy loves all things mountain biking, soccer, skiing, fishing, and tinkering. With some motherly encouragement, he is also playing basketball 🙂 Our teen is really good at figuring out puzzle-ish things too! (Oh, and he has opinions about clothing currently.) So below, a little bit of everything is included in the Gifts for Teen Boys guide. (I also only semi-consulted him on these things 😉

Teen Boy Clothing
Who knew one could be so particular about leisurewear? Should a 12 year old own this nice of joggers? Probably not, but ours wears his several times a week and the price per wear on them is really good at this point. So, maybe? Another constant that our teen reaches for is this jacket; there are several color options so adding clothing that is new but that we also know he will wear is a win. Our teen and a friend decided that maybe they would try to wear something other than soccer jerseys everyday this year. So, our son now has several tees from this company. A Christmas version seems fun too. (Not on his list, but something that he will enjoy is something comfy- and a bit put together for his parents- for somewhat fancier occasions.) While sporty but a dressier-sporty, these shoes and/or these shoes would look really nice. I think that this sweatshirt would be fun for our outdoors guy. Our teen loves these socks. In fact, I just ordered him some more.
Teen Boy Athletic Things
Although I’m not sure he would admit it, our teen boy is quite good at pickleball and seems to enjoy it when we play (until the sibling competition kicks in, then it is another story). Given how dark it becomes outside so early these late fall/early winter days in combination with our teen’s love for all things LED, this could be a fun driveway activity. While we don’t live close to any snowmobiling trails, we do have quite a few sledding hills within a few miles of our house; this could be a thrilling way to get to the bottom. We were so impressed with our teen boy’s dedication to weekly golf this fall. Unfortunately, the weather has taken a turn. This and/or this could be a good way to keep his new skills sharp. Teen boys can never have too many soccer or basketballs, especially since they tend to disappear with out a trace/explanation; this shirt could be fun to pair with a basketball gift. This balance board sports trainer can serve many purposes- your teen can use it for fun, tricks, workouts and even just while watching TV. I think our son has about all of the fishing gear he will ever need. This past summer, he was able to take photos of the fish he caught with his phone. This inkless pocket printer is a perfect way to quickly print out some of those photos before they are forever lost in the cloud.
Teen Boy Tinkering Things
Our son loves tinkering around on his bike in the garage. This took kit seems very comprehensive and is specific to bike repair. Our teen has really enjoyed his innovation lab classes. Part of the class allows the use of a 3D printer. The things that the kids create are pretty amazing! I’m not sure we are to the level of needing a printer at home, but if we were, this one looks so nice! If you have a teen who used to love rubik’s cubes, then this one is definitely the next step! Our son (and I) went through a phase where we loved to play a quick game of mancala after dinner. I think that this game is more difficult and equally as fun. A card game is always a good idea when we are traveling or eating out; this one looks particularly interesting with a twist on a common concept.
That’s All for Now!
