Fall Throw Pillows

Fall has officially descended on Michigan. The fall leaves are beautiful, and on sunny days, we spend as much time outside as possible. On rainy days, it is so nice to curl up with a good book and get cozy. This week has convinced me that it is time to switch out a few pillows on our sectional to fully embrace the fall feel. Here are some of the fall throw pillows that I am considering to sub in for my floral prints and summer stripes.

As a reminder, this is how our sectional was decorated at the beginning of the summer.

The light blue summer stripe, pink velvet, and floral print were so lovely and I hate to see them go, but I think it is time for some fall throw pillows to warm the space up. Also, our mantle now looks like this… Can I be done with Halloween now?

Fall Throw Pillows: The Options

Anyway, back to general fall decor… Here are some pillows I am considering:

I actually already have this pillow and really like the muted color against our leather sofa. It was part of the velvet pillows round up from a few weeks ago.

I have to admit that I will always love a good stripe. This pillow is a great way to incorporate a stripe with more of a fall vibe.

This pillow is also a beautiful and modern take on a stripe without the summer blues.

A broken stripe is always a wonderful option. I like the subtle interest it adds to any set of pillow combinations.

This Kilim carmel and tan pillow is on sale and would make a lovely addition.

This Moroccan woven pillow cover is a nice way to add pattern that can last all year.

A block print in sage is a nice fall replacement for the spring and summer florals.

This pillow could work in all seasons with its calming colors.

Here are a few options for pillow combinations that have taken the guesswork out of the equation. It is always nice to be able to buy an already-put-together combo.

This is another stunning trio.

When in doubt, a plaid pillow is almost always the answer in the fall and winter.

This would be a splurge but I have had my eye on this pillow for awhile now.

Fall Pillows Update

I wrote the first part of this post this morning. Since then, I added the gorgeous patchwork kilim pillow shown below from The Counting House. I also ordered the green Moroccan woven pillow. (It is currently on clearance!) Stay tuned for the other side of the sectional when that pillow comes in. I’m thinking a sage and tan autumn is in the works for our Colonial Home.
