Modern Vintage Glassware, Sneakers, Holiday Tables, and a Sephora Sale

Hi and Welcome Back to Mackinaw Road Monday! On Thursday. This week I am back on track and truly quite random. This list includes new Modern Vintage Glassware, Fall Dining Rooms, the pair of sneakers that I’m loving, and a Sephora sale. Here we go!

Modern Vintage Dining Table

Fall Dining Table | Modern Vintage Glasses

I took a poll over on Instagram about whether or not I should keep the modern vintage glasses I ordered even though I had already shot and posted our fall dining table. I actually had them loaded into the car to return but then ended up keeping the glasses. They are perfect with the space and add some more depth, which I love. They would even go well with the Holiday Table if I stay within the blue and red theme like last year.

Speaking of Fall and Holiday Tables, here is a throwback to last year around this time when Gretchen and I refreshed her dining room complete with a DIY chevron wall. You can check out all of the details here.

Sneakers

Cozy Clothes | Sneakers

Moving on to clothing, I included this pair of sneakers in the Cozy Clothes post last week. Update- I still think they are amazing and I still love them. Here I am last week attempting some healthy granola bars with the hope that the kids would fill up on them and have minimal room left for the gobs of candy amassed over Halloween. You can guess how that went down. And yes, my trusted sidekick and taste tester was there too! You can see the tip of his nose in the photo above. Much of my outfit it is old but you can find similar jeggings here. A similar button down here. And a similar cardigan here. Or, you can just click on the photo below (I also linked some different color/style/but-still-similar sneakers.)

Sephora Holiday Sale Event

Sephora Gift Ideas and Products | Sephora Sale

Okay- I’ll try to keep this next part semi-brief. Sephora is having a Holiday Event/Sale. Starting today (unless you are Rogue or VIB status- then your access started earlier and your savings are even greater) and running through November 9, you can sign up to become a Sephora Beauty Insider for free and get discounts on various products with the code HOLIDAYFUN. Caution- this could definitely turn into a something for you-something for me situation. Anyway, I’m not a beauty blogger. Lately, I’ve been considering it a successful nightly “routine” when I wash my face and slop on some Cetaphil- lol! But, I do have some products that I love and need to order more of to get back into an actual adult routine, so I’ll share those. I also have a few items from the Sephora sale that I’m considering for gifts/stocking stuffers. Some from both categories overlap. (But, maybe don’t give the concealer as a gift. It could be construed as a “you look tired” sort of comment.) As always, be sure to read the descriptions and reviews and decide what works best for you.

Here is what I have tried and like…

City Block SheerThis is a barely there sheer cream/sunscreen. It’s great for wearing with foundation or as is when running errands and needing some extra sun protection.

7 Day Scrub Cream- I use this in the mornings. It is so gentle but still exfoliates well.

Self Tan Bronzing Mist- I have this on hand for the six months where we see very little sun in Michigan. I don’t use it a lot but sometimes it’s nice to have a little bronze pick-me-up.

Full Cover Concealer- When I do my makeup fully, this is what I use to cover those pesky dark circles under my eyes.

3 Little Wonders- I have used all three of these Little Wonders and will again! This is a great anti-aging trio. It’s perfect for travel. Even if you aren’t traveling, this could be used as a less expensive way to try out the products before buying the larger versions.

Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub- Used to refine and clean pores, I just really like it for the dual warming and cooling action.

The Golden Mask- A sweet friend gave a gold mask to me as part of a 40th birthday present, and I thought it was so fun! This could also be a good stocking stuffer.

And here are some more Sephora Stocking Stuffer/Gift Ideas…

Best Selling Minis- This set of 5 would make a cute gift! Depending on how many stockings you need to fill, you could also buy the set and then separate it, letting each person try a different product.

Hair Repair SystemThese are minis too but I think you might need to keep this kit together? With possibly less time spent at the salon in 2020 and into 2021, this might be a worth a try. It would also be a fun gift to give.

Uplifted and Bright Set- This set of 3 could possibly be divided for stockings but you might want to keep all of the beautiful packaging together and give this as a gift.

Keep it Tonal- This set could definitely be separated and placed into various stockings. It’s really beautiful kept together, too… The muted tones seem like they would work well for various occasions.

Coconut Foot Mask- With more self-care happening at home this year, a coconut foot mask may be in order. Another great stocking stuffer!

Jet Lag Mask- This would be great as part of a travel gift but could also stand alone with it’s sleek design. It can also be found as part of this Hydration Set.

Admittedly, these last two are for me-haha! They are items that I’ve had my eye on for awhile and would love to try. Now that I’m not jumping in a lake or pool with our kids as much/at all, I’d love to wash my hair less often. I’m very curious about this Dry Shampoo. I’m mostly interested in that particular dry shampoo because I feel like I’ve seen this Volume Blast from the same company mentioned a lot. With our loss of humidity until next summer, my hair could use a little blast! The Fullness & Volume mini set would also be a great way to try some of the company’s products.

Well… that was a lot. Again! I hope this was helpful. I’ll be back next week with some gift ideas for kids (mine are ages 7 and 10) and toddlers.
