$10 ticket options | Hamilton

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to attend Hamilton. I can definitely understand what all of the excitement is about- we loved it! As you may have gathered by now from my book recommendations in this post and this post, these days I get most of my history review/information from historical fiction. (It may not be the most solid of strategies but so far so good- haha!) And, now I also am getting it from Broadway musicals. Anyway, I think I may have mentioned this app previously, but it is worth mentioning again. There is a Hamilton app in which you can enter a lottery for 1-2 tickets that are $10 each. You read that correctly. At the time of this post publishing, if you win, the tickets are $10 each! I enter almost every day and have my notifications set to remind me. I actually won tickets a few years ago to see Hamilton in Chicago but couldn’t go due to a schedule conflict.

Plan Your Frank Lloyd Wright Travel Tours

Speaking of historical fiction and a few years ago, I read Loving Frank about Frank Lloyd Wright’s life from the perspective of Mamah Borthwick Cheney. It was educational and a quick read. To say that the end shocked me is an understatement. If you live in or near Grand Rapids, Michigan, there are tours of a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. I wrote more about that here.

When I released this collection of originals last summer, this painting (Can’t Make Me Blush) was the first painting to sell. And ever since it has been the second most popular for prints. I know most artists don’t look at an ostrich and think “Holy Heavens, where has this been my whole life? Its outrageous!! I must paint it now!!” But man, that sure is what I think😂. Glad you agree, m’dear. Enjoy your outrageous ostrich art🤗🤗🤗🤗!! . ¡Debo pintarlo ahora! ”Pero amiga, eso es lo que pienso😂. Me alegra que estés de acuerdo, querida. Disfruta de tu arte de avestruz! . #ostrich#ostrichart#ostrichpainting#rhea#ostrichphotography#ñandu#grandrapidsartist#michiganartist#grandrapidspainter#artstudio#myartstudio#painting#paintingvideo#hyperlapse#housedesign#safaristyle#livingroomart#hallwayart#nurseryinspo#foyerinspo#livingroominspo#moderivingroom#hallwaydecor

Mary-Catheryn of Copper Corners is a local artist that I have been following for quite some time now. She is such a talent and her paintings feel incredibly fun and lighthearted. The texture, layers, and vibrant colors immediately draw me in. Not only does Mary-Catheryn sell her paintings and prints, but she also has a line of tea towels, pillows, lighting, shirts, wallpaper, and earrings. You can check them all out here. As if all of that isn’t ambitious enough, Mary-Catheryn is hosting a weekend workshop for aspiring artists this spring. How fun would that be!

Easy Winter Outfits | Jcrew | Madewell

I ordered a few J.Crew Factory basic long sleeve tees/turtlenecks this fall and am so happy with my purchases. They are on the thicker side and have held up well. This shirt is probably my favorite. I love that it is basic but the three buttons on each sleeve add some interest. It makes me feel a little more trendy as I layer on the shirts and winter sweaters for another month or so. These turtlenecks are also super comfy and I wear them often.

I’m excited for 2020 because I have a couple of DIY posts in the works. There will also be several more travel posts to places I know quite a bit about and new places as well! We are working on planning an anniversary trip with R’s sisters and husbands as we are celebrating 5, 10, and 15-year anniversaries this September (Have a mentioned that I LOVE September?!?). Our sister is planning and organizing and has given us 3 choices that are all so different but all amazing! Can’t wait to see where we end up!

Okay- that’s it! Have a wonderful week!!!
