Modern Coastal Home: Staging Project
Art is of the essence in this lovely newer build home. Tying the family’s beautiful collected pieces in while incorporating some subtle styling was all this house needed to get ready for open houses and walk throughs. You may recognize some of the items from my modern colonial, small shops around town, and bigger box stores. The family has lived in Germany, has ties to Italy, and gives coastal vibes too. All of this tied in with a love of midcentury and modern, and we had a fun project on our hands!
Modern Coastal Living Room
It is was difficult to choose a favorite photo of this space. The sleek piano complimented by the stunning artwork? The fireplace and the gorgeous focal painting above it surrounded by styled shelves? Or the cute model puppy? I can’t decide, but below are the photos.

Kitchen Shelves & Dining Room
There wasn’t too much to be done in the kitchen and dining room. We used a lot that the family already had: perfect pottery and plates, wedding gifts, cookbooks, and some items from previous stying visits that we relocated. Things in the dining room were tied together by adding modern white elements. (The family moved back to the US during the pandemic and, while the table may not be exactly their style, it was available and the perfect size for the space. Bonus that it is one of the most beautiful tables I’ve seen!)

Music Room
Once again, we used a lot of what the family already had, some that was already in the room and some that we grabbed from storage. We added some quick ship pillows to tie in the colors and incorporate some pattern and were good to go.

Modern Coastal Bathroom
You may recognize this bathroom from an Instagram post awhile back when we pulled out all the stops to transform it into a modern coastal powder room. It remains a favorite of mine years later.

Modern Basement Bar Area
I really messed up by not photographing the entire bar area but you can get the idea from the photos below (and a glimpse of the beautiful wood bar area).

More to Come…
I’m so grateful to this family for allowing me to come in during such a wild time- end of school, showings, packing to move, etc. We had a good teamwork rhythm and I think it turned out so well! Stay tuned for more to come…
