February: Things I Wore, Things I Read & Everything Else
I’ve been doing a lot of trying to get through February. The 60 degree days definitely helped and gave some hope as we head toward Moody March. It’s been a fairly random month of planning possible summer trips and presenting to them to our family of four, some clothing purchases, creating design boards, kitchen dreaming (not mine this time, thank goodness!), reading, and perusing things that have Caught My Eye. There isn’t time to touch on all of the randomness, but keep reading for what I’ve got.

February: Things I Wore

Sweaters are key and I don’t mind spending a reasonable amount in that area. We do live in Michigan after all and my sweaters get worn all the time. As in, what else would you possible wear for the 5 months of winter here? I’ve found that I love a cashmere sweater. They are expensive but also store well and don’t take up a lot of room in our 1920’s tiny closet. I purchased this one in navy, and while it was costly, it was also quite a steal. I also own and love this one that I have mentioned before. I have a birthday gift card that I am tempted to put toward this one. This is my second winter with this sweater and it is an all-time favorite- I’d definitely be up for getting it in more colors. For warmer temperatures, I love this classic cable knit, drop sleeve sweater. I also purchased a v neck sweater when it was on sale and it is quite possibly the very best v neck I have ever owned. I am tempted to get the navy version. This henley is in my cart (another birthday code item) and predicts warm days ahead.
Denim is always a deal for me… probably for everyone? I love this recent purchase for the straight leg that hits at just the right ankle spot. Because I bought it in store and over a holiday weekend, I got this laundry detergent as a gift that I’m excited to try (although this is my favorite, favorite treat of a detergent). This necklace is super versatile and I see myself getting a lot of use from it. I’ve had these for years now and they will forever be my first choice joggers.
February: Things I Read
This book was such a page-turner, complete with a Wait, What?! ending. The second book I read was a little far fetched, but I enjoyed the overall story and learning about an island I didn’t even know existed (and is right in the middle of some of my favorite countries). I thought that the delivery of this story was clever (don’t worry, you don’t actually need to remember who said what) but was oddly disappointed with the ending (even though I have zero alternative ending ideas).

We don’t often have guests but occasionally we do. While the frequency does not warrant converting our Home Office into a Guest Room, it would still be nice to have a comfortable spot for one of the kids to land should guests need to use one of their rooms. Here are some options…
