Cozy Autumn Living Room
Hello and Happy Fall! It has been awhile (maybe 2021?) since I took photos of our living room in the fall, which is kind of a shame, given all the coziness and autumn colors we have in there. You will notice a lot has stayed the same. Two major changes were our swivel chairs and (finally) a coffee table. Okay… I think that’s enough of an introduction. Welcome to our Cozy Autumn Living Room.

Lit candles, dark wood, fur throws, and boucle chairs all add to the Cozy Autumn feeling. This is also the season when our terracotta rug goes best with the other decorations!

A super deep buttery leather sectional is just the place to curl up with a good book on a chilly fall day. I added some faux maple leaf stems above the book shelves to draw the eye up.

The coffee table needed very little styling. A vase on the larger side, some books, and a candle did the trick.

The bookshelves have old and new objects and prints. I borrowed the print that I had purchased for another part of the house for the mantel. The frame is difficult to see in this photo but it is perfect for fall.

I recently had a print fmatted to properly fit the frame. It is a print called Olive Roads Lead to Rome and reminds me of our daughter’s and my trip to Italy this past summer.

We also have a photo on the top shelf of a family trip to California a few years ago. I hope we get to go back soon!

I was unsure about swivel chairs for the longest time. Mostly, I think I was afraid that it would bother me if one was swiveled and the other was not. It turns out that I am unbothered by this and it really isn’t much of a problem. The chairs themselves are very comfortable and have worked out well so far!

A friend helped me to hang curtains in the front windows and I like how it evens out the room (with the curtains opposite the wall surrounding the french doors). Oh, and we also semi-recently got a new TV. It isn’t a Samsung frame, but it is very similar and the artwork that pops up is a nice touch when we aren’t watching a show.

Happy Fall!
Okay- I think that is all for the updates! I’ve linked sources below. If they aren’t there, they might be in this post or I’m happy to answer any questions in the Comments section below too.
