Mackinaw Road Monday: Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Hi there! Well… April is almost over. It only felt like it lasted 3 years- lol! Oh, and it’s not Monday. But, as has become my mantra lately… close enough. I don’t have 3 ingredients for this dish? Close enough. We have been slowly getting in the swing of things. We love a good birthday parade. Online school is still challenging but fine. The sun came back- yay! Our Stay at Home order was extended until May 15 in Michigan, so we will have to get creative with wishing our moms a Happy Mother’s Day, but I am so grateful that I get to be with my kids on the special day. I love the relaxing nature of the day. The time to sit back and enjoy our family but also to have some time to myself. Last year, I wrote letters to my kids and hid them (now if I could only remember where… hmmm…). I’m hoping to do the same this year but to be a little bit more organized and streamlined about it. Or maybe it will just be a fun scavenger hunt where they eventually find all of the letters completely out of order and hid it the most random of places. But before I become too scattered, I put some Mother’s Day gifts I’ve been eyeing (for myself and others) into a little Mother’s Day Gift Guide….

To cut down on shipping and ordering from a million different places, everything pictured is from Nordstrom Rack. I don’t have any experience with these products- I just think they look pretty. Oh and I also added my favorites from The Counting House (you know I love the store!) at the end. I am so so excited that The Counting House now has an online shop! Her Mother’s Day Gift Guide is perfect- You can check that out here.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Let’s start with serving boards. I am definitely of the mindset that one can never have too many serving boards (or cutting boards for that matter). From a feminine rustic to a dark marble (the price on this one is amazing!) and an agate with hammered handles, there really seems to be such a nice variety of choices.

While we are talking about serving boards, what is a cheese board without a little wine or champs? I love the sophisticated yet approachable look of these Anthropologie flutes. Cheers!

And in case there is the need for a little rehydration, this reusable water bottle is a great option for the next day. I also think this electric kettle has a cute and retro vibe!

Switching gears a bit, let’s talk about footwear. I almost always ask for nice shoes or boots for gifts. I love the look of these tennies! And since I am constantly in casual clothing these days, I think that these blend trendy and comfy nicely. I also love a good loafer. How pretty and perfect for spring are these?

Speaking of spring, this top has a lovely spring vibe. As does this jumpsuit. And of course a shift dress is always a favorite for summer (this one comes in several color options.) Complete the look with some sunglasses and a wristlet. Check and check.

Okay! That’s it for now. If you are looking for more ideas, you can check out this post from a few Mother’s Days ago. I am currently eyeing  this and this and this from The Counting House- okay, really all of it- LOL! I also love, love, love the sentimental aspect of this gift. Now, I really think that’s all.

[UPDATE: I also order part of this set for my mom- it is the perfect summer dish set without being too seasonal!]
