June Updates on Mackinaw Road
June was beautiful here in Michigan! Better yet, we were able to get several TO DO list items completed including the exterior painting of the Beach Cabin, landscaping, and re-staining the deck. We are having family out to the cottage this weekend and are excited to host. I also just finished a summer read and it was a fun one. More on all of these updates as well as the Top Performers over on LTK this month. **DISCLOSURE: This post contains affiliate links, meaning that if you click and purchase, I may receive some compensation. Mackinaw Road Monday: Outdoor Living
Hi there! July 4th may unofficially mark the halfway point of summer, but there is still plenty of warm weather and outdoor living to be had here in Michigan. I will argue always that September is the best month. But, before I get ahead of myself, let’s talk about outdoor spaces, beach accessories, Barbados, and a fun summer drink.

Mackinaw Road Monday: Mood Boards & Headboards
Hi all! Apparently, there is a thing call Mood Board Monday. And, since we’re all hunkering down, I thought it would be fun to jump on that bandwagon. Planning and dreaming sound like a great escape. And, really, it goes so well with all of the alliteration already happening in the Monday title. I had signed up for the One Room Challenge this spring. Thankfully, it has been postponed until May. A bonus is that it gave me time to really consider my choices. You know, since I haven’t waffled enough over the past year regarding the Beach Cabin.

Modern Traditional Christmas Kitchen
Hello and Happy Holidays! This time of year is always a whirlwind with holiday gatherings, kids’ concerts, school parties, and all of the fun!!! I’m currently trying, trying, trying to keep it simple in our Modern Traditional Christmas Kitchen. Also, admittedly, I ran out of time with my refusal to decorate until after Thanksgiving and the shorter span of weeks between it and Christmas. Sometimes routines are good, sometimes not so much. Oh well!

Hi! It’s the 3rd week of the One Room Challenge for our Elegant Dining Room Refresh, and we keep getting delayed. If you missed last week, Gretchen and I attempted to stain and paint a console table. You can learn everything we learned not to do (haha!) in the post here. You can see how all of it will fit together into her Dining Room Refresh here.
